Tuition

At GRCS we believe that the biggest investment any family can make is in their children. While we understand that the cost of private schooling can be a significant investment, we are committed to offering an attractive financial proposition for families - as a key part of the overall student journey at GRCS.

The cost of tuition noted below captures the necessary costs to deliver the academic components of the education at GRCS. This includes but is not limited to the cost of staff compensation, education materials (text books, teaching supplies, equipment, etc...), building maintenance, insurance and other operating costs.

Fundraising Requirements

The Grand River Christian School does not have any minimum fundraising requirements as a condition or acceptance of registration or enrollment at GRCS. However, GRCS families are encouraged to part take in various fundraising initiatives for the school from time to time.

Admission

  • Admission of a new student at GRCS commences with parents expressing their desire for their child to be enrolled in the school, which can be done by contacting the school directly. Families are encouraged to contact the school at any point during the year to ensure priority access on the Enrollment Waitlist. Please note that presence on the waitlist does not guarantee enrollment.
  • The annual enrollment follows the below priority sequence:
    • First priority is given to existing students in GRCS to re-enroll for upcoming school years, as appropriate.
    • Second priority goes to siblings or other children of families with children currently enrolled at GRCS.
    • Third priority goes to individuals who have contacted the school and are on the waitlist (as appropriate). Any student is welcome to join the waitlist or admissions process. For clarity, the waitlist shall be followed in priority sequence, with members of the Romanian Pentecostal Church of God of Kitchener having waitlist priority.
  • The annual enrollment process begins in January of each preceding school year.
  • Interested families will be asked to complete a digital pre-registration form for their students. Upon review of the digital pre-registration form, families will be invited, as appropriate, to complete enrollment forms for the upcoming school year.
  • Once enrollment forms are complete, the family will meet with the School Administration for an admissions interview. In addition to the interview, each new student that enrolls into GRCS at or above Grade 1 will be required to complete an entrance assessment at the fee stipulated above. The entrance assessment is a required step to assess whether the birthday-based grade of the new student is appropriate for the student's academic aptitude.
  • The enrollment process concludes with remittance of the necessary upfront fees (i.e. registration and admissions assessment fee).
